Medical Marijuana Certifications with Dr. Allen

Thank you for your interest in our medical marijuana card program. Dr. Allen understands that many people will be seeking help for their chronic conditions via the use of marijuana, and she wants this to be done safely, under the guidance of trained personnel who have your health and safety as a priority. While rigorous scientific research is lacking in the efficacy of medical marijuana, there is substantial anecdotal evidence of its benefits for certain conditions. Dr. Allen will not abandon traditional medical therapies, but she is willing to research their use in helping people where other therapies have failed. The legalization of marijuana for medical purposes will have the added benefit of improving research and development of safe and effective therapies for many conditions where current treatment is lacking.

It is important to note that while Dr. Allen will be able to provide certification for a medical marijuana card, marijuana will not be dispensed from her office nor will she be prescribing it.

In order to qualify, a patient must have one of the medical conditions specified by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (see the complete list below), and the condition must be considered chronicthe patient has been suffering from the condition for more than six months.
