Are you interested in having the Hubbardston Irish Dance Troupe at your next event? Please contact Emma to discuss the opportunity! March is our busiest month surrounding St. Patricks Day and we would like as much time as possible to plan for anything focused around that time. Here are some things we would like to know upon scheduling a performance:
Where is your event?
The Troupe has traveled all across Michigan, from the local Hubbardston area to surrounding areas, such as Portland, Grand Ledge, Carson City, Ionia, and Belding. The Troupe has also gone to Lansing, Grand Rapids, Alma, Mt. Pleasant, Owosso, and Ann Arbor, among others! Our Troupe is made up of children, so we need to consider travel distance when committing to a performance.
What is the venue?
The HIDT has performed in a variety of settings including schools, churches, pubs, nursing homes, festivals, parades, hospitals, and parties.
What type of floor is available?
The dancer's shoes will sound the best on a hard surface, hardwood is ideal. We can make other surfaces work, we will just need to know what to do to accommodate the space.
What size dance space is available?
Knowing the size of the stage will help us determine which dances we would be able to perform. Our performance set can be adaptable to several different stage sizes.
Is there a sound system available?
We can bring our own if there is no one available.
How long of performance would you be interested in?
30-45 minutes would be an ideal time frame for a full Troupe performance.
