AlertSumter

Sumter County is changing the emergency mass notification system to AlertSumter. AlertSumter will offer robust emergency notification to the residents of Sumter County. AlertSumter is part of the Florida Division of Emergency Management's initiative to provide mass notification services to all Florida residents and businesses using Everbridge, Inc. as the statewide provider.

Sumter County will use AlertSumter to alert residents about a variety of events, ranging from severe weather, fires, floods, and other emergencies. Messages will be sent to residents by their preferred contact paths either cell phone, text, home phone, email, fax, pager, and more to ensure real-time access to potentially lifesaving information.
